Professor Gizmo's Workshop is a Rhode Island maker space, affiliated with Make Magazine.
Our workshops were created to get kids involved with hands-on building projects that interest and excite! We think kids are natural builders and artists. Figuring out how things work helps them develop engineering problem solving skills, confidence, and creativity that will last a lifetime.
Design it, Build it,
Test it, Repeat.
Professor Gizmo's Workshop
is excited to be piloting a new
Artist in Residence program in partnership with the Bay Spring Community Center. Look for all maker workshops to be announced and held at the BSCC!
Jean-Jacques Rousseau said "Put a young man in a workshop, his hands will work to the benefit of his brain, and he will become a philosopher while thinking
himself only a craftsman."
Whenever possible, we try to incorporate recycled parts into our projects and workshops.
