Professor Gizmo's Workshop is a Rhode Island maker space, affiliated with Make Magazine.
Our workshops were created to get kids involved with hands-on building projects that interest and excite! We think kids are natural builders and artists. Figuring out how things work helps them develop engineering problem solving skills, confidence, and creativity that will last a lifetime.
Design it, Build it,
Test it, Repeat.
PGW is excited to be partnering with the Bay Spring Community Center to offer maker workshops and printmaking experiences through the BSCC's newly established Artist in Residence Program! Look for upcoming workshops this Fall, and come say hi at the annual Harvest Fest, this coming Sunday, Oct. 21st!
Jean-Jacques Rousseau said "Put a young man in a workshop, his hands will work to the benefit of his brain, and he will become a philosopher while thinking
himself only a craftsman."
Whenever possible, we try to incorporate recycled parts into our projects and workshops.
